- Working on adapting parts of dissertation into a book dealing with the performance of gender in Dominican music, particularly merengue tipico
- Editing a book on salsa dance around the world, titled Dancing in Place: How salseros create local varieties of a globalized dance, with 12 contributors from 7 countries
- Recently completed a chapter on the absence of the body in musicology for the book Music and Displacement, eds. Florian Scheding and Eric Levi, which will be coming out this spring
- Recently completed a chapter on the accordion in the Dominican Republic for the book The Accordion on New Shores, ed. Helena Simonett
- Just finishing a chapter on border dances for the book Transnational Encounters. Music and Performance at the U.S.-Mexico Border, ed. Alejandro Madrid
- Just finished an article on the categories of popular, folklorico, and tipico in Latin American music, with a focus on the Dominican Republic, for a special issue of Popular Music
- Still working on a chapter on insider tourists and merengue tipico in the Dominican Republic for the book Sun, Sound, and Sand: Reflections on Music Touristics in the circum-Caribbean, eds. Daniel Neely and Timothy Rommen
